I’m sick of iTunes sucking my system resources. My computer is practically state of the art and it in fact lags when I try to play a video podcast sometimes. Is there aanother client that can subscribe to video podcasts like Diggnation, Tikibar TV, Question a Ninja, etc?

I’m downloading the iPhone dev podcasts from iTunes U, place the files are too huge , and I don’t want them to hog up all of my hard drive space. I want to store them on my external hard drive that I use for Time Machine backups. How can I redirect my download there but still be able to sync it with my iPod, and keep it in my library?

I am tiresome to make podcasts with my students, and only have experience making podcasts on a mac. Unfortunately my school cannot afford to buy apple computers so I have to try to make the podcasts on PCs. Any advice about what program to use it appreciated. I’d like to use audacity since it is free but it doesn’t do video.
