Podcasting has been around for quite a small while now, yet the weird thing is that it still seems to be a bit of a ‘black art’ for many people.

Indeed, it seems that podcasting is a touch that nearly everyone has heard about, but very, very few appear to have really grasped the significance of.

Even the many millions who download podcasts for their mp3 players still haven’t got beyond the thought of them being a touch that you passively listen to.

For the vast majority, podcasting is still a touch that other people do, be they radio personalities, leading marketing or industrial commentators, or whatever

But , the very ethos of podcasting is that it is for everyone, and anyone can do it. There is no need of expensive tape or broadcasting equipment, and no tape studio or sound engineers are necessary.

You can, if you want, sit down at your PC right now, record absolutely anything that you want to, and have a downloadable link to the ‘podcast’ that you have just made on your website within the hour!

It really is that simple!

Without giving too much away, I would thoroughly recommend that you download the podcast, and then get a copy of Jack’s book from the same page, whilst it is still free (I truthfully don’t reckon that it will be free forever – you’ll see why when you read it!)

Anyway, you can factually make an audio podcast to get your message out into the huge wide world in the time it takes to cook your feast , and it takes pretty much the same quantity of effort as well!

You do not even need any fancy equipment or software. Buy your self a combo mike and headphones set (you can pick them up on ebay for less than $5!) and off you go.

Nor do you need fancy (i.e. expensive) software to make audio podcasts.

Download free tape software from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and either follow the link to the ‘Lame’ mp3 plugin from the audacity page, or go straight to http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~raa110/audacity/lame.html and download it from there.

Then, once you have recorded your first audio track using audacity, click ‘File’ in the top left corner and look for ‘Export As MP3′.

The first time only, you then have to locate the dll file in the unzipped ‘Lame’ folder, and there you go – you have an mp3 file ready for streaming podcast or download.

That is factually it. You can be making your first podcast within the next hour!

So, who can make money podcasting? Well, quite clearly, as you can now make as many podcasts as you want, then the simple answer is that you can!
