I am looking for suggetions on how to accomplish tape podcasts to my local hard disk for later listening via a CDRW disc. I use CDRW discs for audio MP3 files on a CD/MP3 player. I just want to use the equipment I already have rather than buying an ipod.

You can download iTunes even if you don’t have an ipod. Then in itunes there is an selection to burn a selection to a disk. Just follow the instructions and you shouldn’t have any distress .

You do not need a ipod since podcast files, in fact, are just mp3 files ( you will need to convert to mp3 if file types are not mp3):

    - go to Nero.com and download a trial version of Nero. Read its lessons and you will know how to burn podcast to CDrom
